Glacier National Park is a photographer's dream. With a diverse landscape that includes ancient red cedar trees, prominent mountain peaks, rushing waterfalls and rock outcroppings, the terrain in the Crown of the Continent offers an abundance of photo ops. And while you can find numerous pictures of Glacier National Park on canvases, in books or online, there's nothing that quite compares to coming to the park and taking your own photos. The National Park Service also has an impressive collection of images from the park on their Flickr site.

Glacier Park also has many wildlife-watching opportunities, as the park is home to grizzly and black bears, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, elk, wolverines, wolves and moose. When photographing the wildlife of Glacier National Park, it's important to be respectful and keep your distance from these wild animals. Read more about how to view Montana's wildlife safely here.
