2026 Park & Travel Information

Visit Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park is one of the most beautiful destinations on earth. Located in Western Montana, the park is home to more than 1 million acres of diverse terrain, including a lush rainforest, ancient cedar trees, wildflower-filled meadows, glacial-carved peaks, glistening lakes and incredible hiking trails.

Open year-round, each season in Glacier National Park delivers distinct experiences—like biking the Going-to-the-Sun Road in spring, kayaking or standup paddleboarding Lake McDonald and the emerald waters of the Flathead River in the summer, watching wildlife and wild fall colors in the autumn, and snowshoeing through quiet snow-covered forests in winter.

There will be no vehicle reservation system in 2026; visitors may enter Glacier National Park by personal vehicle at any time. Park shuttles begin July 1 and operate by advance online reservation only, with stops exclusively at Logan Pass and The Loop. Parking at Logan Pass will be limited to three hours. Visitors who plan to stay longer than may be dropped off or reserve shuttle service in advance. Learn more here.

Non-resident visitors to the United States should be aware of additional entrance requirements and fees when planning a trip to Glacier National Park. The America the Beautiful Non-Resident Annual Pass is available for $250 and covers one private vehicle, two motorcycles, or the passholder plus three additional adults. Without an America the Beautiful Pass, non-resident visitors 16 and older must pay a $100 non-resident fee in addition to the standard park entrance fee. Read more here.
